„Following the paths of tradition, with the synergy of sun and sea, bura and jugo winds, red and white soil, stone and vine, we seek and find perfection in wine“
The family vineyards and cellar are located on the slopes of the western Istrian vineyard in the municipality of Vižinada, more precisely in the small village of Bajkini, which rises above the Mirna river valley. Pino Rossi currently cultivates five hectares of modern vineyards. The vineyards have a south-western exposure, which allows for maximum sunlight, and together with the microclimate and unique terroir, grapes of the highest quality are obtained, which is the basis for the specificity of Pino Rossi wines. Special attention is paid to all works in the vineyard, and Pino has great support from his wife and daughter. Following this special attention in the vineyard, high-quality grapes are obtained, which are then processed in a cellar equipped with modern technology. The wine matures the in oak barrique barrels to achieve its highest quality. Love related to vineyards and wine, as well as dedication to hard work gives excellent results at various events, where numerous awards are not missing. Knowledge is also an important production factor, so the family has two master’s degrees in agronomic engineering and one doctorate of science which, along with other family members, significantly contribute to the production of top quality wines. In every glass of Pino Rossi wines, you will find love, originality of the terroir, and harmony of taste and scent. When you decide to visit their authentic, Istrian tavern, which can accommodate up to 50 people, you will be able to taste their 8 labels and enjoy simple local food.
